Chapter Eighteen

Pg. 159 “They huddled close together and stared at the door. The time was past for asking the white folks what to look for through that door – six eyes were questioning God.”
Tea Cake, Janie, and Motor all stood in the house looking out the door when they heard thunder. They all stood close together because they didn’t know what else to do. So they continued to watch the sky.

She is thankful for being ale to go through the storm with him. She is happy she was able to live and enjoy her life that she had with him; she do not regret anything.
